Class Assignment Calendar

Here are the class assignments:

October 30

"And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie

A 12" x 12" poster with a quote including a figure of speech (idiom, simile, metaphor, personification, imagery, etc.)

The quote must include the entire sentence. Identify what it is and what it means. Write a summary on the back. A visual will be the main item on the front.

November 30

The book choice is your own!

It must be a Christmas/holiday story. The project is to make an ornament for our tree with the main idea presented on it in a creative way and the book title on it.

December 18

"The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle"

The student will write a book report based on the handout and will be presented in the same outline form.

January 29 

"Chernowitz"


February 29

"The Watson's Go To Birmingham"


March 31

"No Promises in the Wind"


April 29

A book about the Holocaust

(We will be reading the adaptation of Anne Frank, the play.)

You may read a book of your choice
