Part I. Characterization

1. Pick a character from your novel. Introduce and describe your character and tell whether your character is the protagonist or antagonist.
2. Pick two ways an author reveals a character and give at least two examples from the reading to demonstrate what you are discussing. Be sure to use quotation marks and page numbers.
3. Pick a dynamic character. Introduce and describe your dynamic character if he/she is different from the character you introduced in number one. Give examples from the reading to prove your points below. Be sure to use quotation marks and page numbers.
1. Explain in what way the character changed during the novel.
2. Why did the author have this change occur?
3. What effect did this change have on any of the other characters?

Part II. Conflict

1. Choose two types of conflict from your novel.
2. Give examples from the novel that demonstrate which types of conflict you are discussing. Be sure to use quotation marks and page numbers.
3. Explain how each of these two types of conflict is resolved in your novel.

Part III. Theme

1. Discuss what you think the theme is of your novel.
2. Give two examples from the novel that supports your idea of the theme. Be sure to use quotation marks and page numbers.

Part IV. Recommendation

1. Discuss whether you would recommend this book to another student.
2. Explain your reasoning.
